What’s a hearthmaker?
So you’ve heard of a homemaker, but you’ve probably never heard of a hearthmaker!
The name came about inspired by the old word “hearth” which traditionally refers to the area in front of a fireplace. It’s where loved ones gather round for warmth and comfort.
A mother gathers her family to the hearth. In fact, she is the hearth. With the steady work of her hands, she nourishes growing bodies, nurtures blossoming hearts, and raises them to put their faith in the Lord.
Just as a hearth is life-giving, heart-warming, and soul-enriching, that’s just what a mother -- the hearthmaker — does.
