It’s easy to think the default mode of motherhood in the messy, early years is to simply survive, or to keep your children healthy and happy at best effort. But God's purposes are even bigger than that.
As He works through us to love, nurture, and disciple our children, He is also at work in us, drawing us to depend on Him, revealing what is in our hearts, and shaping us into the likeness of Christ, all for His glory and our good.
The Hearthmakers exists to help mothers become women of the Word, so they can see motherhood through the truth of Scripture rather than the shifting definitions we get from culture, comparison, or circumstance.
As God renews the way we see Him and His purposes, we begin to receive motherhood not as a burden to survive or a role to perfect, but as one of the most purposeful callings in life, where we are invited to know, trust, and delight in Christ more deeply.

Hey, I’m Samantha
In the fog of the early years after my son was born, I resigned myself to thinking I was simply too overwhelmed by the responsibilities of home, work, and family to tend to my own spiritual health. Slowly, I began drifting from God.
Yet in His graciousness, He kept calling me back to His heart. I was convinced I was too far gone. Too inconsistent. That I'd only give up again anyway. But little by little, as I simply kept showing up to His Word, God met me there.
He reminded me that motherhood wasn't an interruption to my walk with Him, but one of the very places He was inviting me to know Him more deeply. I re-discovered His heart for me, that He wasn’t another of the many sources of pressure to “get it right” in motherhood, but that He wanted to equip, strengthen, and partner me in this work of raising the next generation.
The Hearthmakers was born from that journey, and today it's my joy to encourage and equip other mothers to discover the same.
