Heya! Thanks for checking out A Quiet Place. I’m currently channeling my efforts into creating some other resources to help Christian mums grow to know and love God more through His Word, and unfortunately found that I didn’t have the bandwidth to host this regularly. If I do host the next Quiet Place, I’ll let you know via email if you’re subscribed.
With my apologies!

“Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” - Mark 6:31

Once a month, I host a simple online soul-tending session.
We gather live for about 20 to 30 minutes. I play piano softly. You spend the time with God in a way that feels natural and life giving to you.
There is no teaching, no discussion, and no expectation to perform or produce anything.
This is a space to come as you are, breathe, and intentionally make time for God.
You’re invited to engage in an activity that helps you be present with God, such as:
Journaling or writing a prayer
Reading Scripture or a Christian book
Drawing, painting, or creating quietly
Sewing, knitting, or crocheting
Sitting in stillness and listening
Bring the activity you keep being drawn toward but yet have had no time for — and its accompanying materials.

Both are personal ways to spend time with God. The difference is that A Quiet Place sessions adds the benefit of shared participation with other like-minded believing mums, accountability, and a dedicated, protected time. Consider it making a plan with God and having others show up alongside you to keep you accountable.

You are welcome to join as often as you like. A Quiet Place sessions are scheduled on the 21st of every month, but there is no obligation to attend every session.
You can drop in for just one session, or make it a regular rhythm, if that is what you need.

For safety and care of the group, cameras need to be on during the session. I seek your kind understanding for this.

No. There is no discussion or compulsory sharing required. This is a quiet, personal space to be with God, together but without pressure.
Only at the end of the session, I will invite participants to share one thought / reflections / learning from their time with God at the session, and you may choose to unmute to speak, or simply type in the chat.

With apologies, you cannot. For the safety of the group, cameras need to be kept on. As such, if you’re on the go, commuting, or will be moving around during the session, it might be distracting to others in the group.

Please plan to arrive on time, as much as it is within your control — I know life happens! Once the session begins, I might have some difficulty admitting latecomers as my hands will be on the piano.

For safety and care of the group, there will be no replays or recordings. These are live gatherings meant to be a safe space and we want to respect the privacy of everyone who participates.

Yes, you can.
I had busy mums on my heart while thinking about A Quiet Place, because I know too well how time with God can quickly drop down to the last priority especially in the early years of motherhood where so much is going on.
Despite that, these sessions are open to anyone who longs for a quiet, reflective space to spend time with God.

Yes. This can be a gentle place to begin. That said, there will be no teaching on how to do “quiet time” or how to study the Bible. There is no structured guidance or step-by-step instruction during the session.
Because of this, beginners are highly encouraged to spend the time simply reading their Bible. Choose a passage, read slowly, and remain present with God. You can write down notes about your impressions and thoughts on what you have read.

This is intended for Christians who desire a quiet, shared space to spend time with God. Because the session is rooted in Christian worship and prayer, it would not be a good fit for those who do not identify with the Christian faith. I seek your understanding!
